Local Impacts

Grants are provided to a wide array of nonprofits serving women and girls, such as: YWCA, Hope Street Recovery House, Walla Walla Public Schools Foundation, Carnegie Picture Lab, The Health Center and BMAC – ESL Literacy Program.

Projects funded represent a terrific cross-section of initiatives and communities served - STEM field trips, mental health training for early learning staff, laptops and software for women’s shelter residents’ use (i.e. financial literacy and job searches), and materials for domestic violence victims- to name a few.

To further expand our community engagement, CPGC has launched a “Collaboration in Action Program, where AAUW members are notified about opportunities to help our current nonprofit grant recipients via short-term volunteering and/or contributing non-monetary donations.
