Tech Trek 2022 Update!

A very important update regarding Tech Trek -

We are excited to update everyone on our Tech Trek campers’ journey. We have secured transportation for our five girls, with the help of Tech Trek WA. Our girls will be flying to Seattle with 4 campers sponsored by the Tri-Cities AAUW branch. For a few of these girls, this will be their first flight! They will be accompanied on all segments of the trip by Judy Blair, the Tri-Cities Tech Trek coordinator. Judy Blair will COVID test the girls with the help of one of our Walla Walla members, Diane Anderson. A huge thank you to Diane for offering to drive to Tri-Cities and see the girls off on their flight - and help with the testing.

Once in Seattle, the group will shuttle from the airport to Pacific Lutheran University, with Judy Blair along until the girls meet with the Tech Trek team, and on the return, until the girls reunite with their families at the Tri-Cities airport.

Tech Trek will be July 17-23rd on the Pacific Lutheran University campus.

Congratulations to the deserving young women (listed below) who were

selected as AAUW-Walla Walla Tech Trek candidates. These young women will be attending the 2022 Tech Trek camp event on the Pacific Lutheran University campus July 17-23, 2022, in Tacoma, Washington.

A huge thank you to our Tech Trek Selection Committee: Carol Morgan, Michelle Petersen Summers Sherri Hedman, Nadine Stecklein, Judy Peasley, Cecile Ervin, Mona Geidl, and Marilyn McCauley.
