In Memory of Dina Baker

We are very sad to report the death of Dina Baker. Dina was a dear friend and mentor to so many AAUW members. Her accomplishments within our organization were outstanding, culminating in a fully funded American Foundation Scholarship fund for women studying for graduate degrees. She served on numerous AAUW committees on both the state and local level.

She was a champion fundraiser for many causes in our community, (The WW Symphony, the YWCA, the American Heart Association, and numerous other nonprofit organizations) and received many awards and accolades for her work.

Her enormous, fully decorated Christmas tree was a sight to behold; so many of us delighted in its beauty every year. She enjoyed playing bridge, participating in the book club, playing tennis and lending a hand to dozens of different AAUW activities.

This picture, with fellow member Kris Berry, is from the 2010 AAUW State Convention held at WWCC. Her laughter was legendary. To say she will be missed is an understatement.
